Variety is so important in small animal diets. Rabbits, guinea pigs, and chickens are natural foragers. They don’t eat only one type of grass, flower, herb or bark. They eat a little bit of this and a little bit of that. (Depending on what’s seasonally available, of course.) Without diet variety, they can suffer a lack of trace minerals and other nutritional components.

Named after our fabulous Spokesrabbit, this small animal herbal blend contains all the flowers the animals love best. Small Pet Select’s Belinda blend provides the variety they need to mimic forage.

This herbal blend is made of whole foods. A whole food = something to eat that’s still in its natural state and is bioavailable. It’s still what it ever was. Nothing is taken out of the original plant. A berry that has vitamin C is a whole food. A leaf is a whole food.

A whole food gives vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids, fatty acids, and other micronutrients in a way the body needs them and understands them.

Rabbit and guinea pig teeth also require a variety of foods. They need to bite and chew, and crunch. They need to pull at bark and twigs. If they don’t get a chance to do all those things, mouth health can deteriorate and tooth problems crop up. And although chickens don’t have teeth, it’s still perfect for them, especially if they’re not free-range. Plus, it will make your coop or brood smell ah-mazing! Thanks for the inspiration, Belinda!

Ingredients	Chamomile, clover, hibiscus, rose petals and buds, lavender, elderflower, and some dandelion leaves thrown in for good measure. (Because who doesn't love dandelion?)
Feeding Instructions	Any new food, snack, or supplement should be introduced patiently. Give your animal a tablespoon per day. The first few days they may not touch it at all. Avoid putting their new snacks or supplements on top of greens, pellets, or mixing into hay at first. (We don’t want them to stop eating the things they already trust because this new stuff is all over it.) Make a fuss about the new stuff, tell them how good it is. Do a little snack dance. They’ll get the idea, and work up their confidence, and one day they’ll try it. After that, there will be no looking back. They will run up to you when they hear the bag and look forward to their herbs and flowers with great anticipation.
Storage and Expiration Info	These are dried plant materials, and they may get buggy if not stored correctly. Store in an airtight food-safe container, in a cool dark place. You can refrigerate them, but do not freeze.
